Chappel Accounting is seeking candidates that are looking to complete or have completed a Business Administration certificate based in Townsville. This role would suit someone who is looking to start or develop their career in the Accounting Industry. This is a position where you will gain valuable practical experience. About your new Role

The Traineeship will involve:    

  • Entry level position
  • General office administration duties assisting the entire team
  • Answering Phones
  • Diary management / client appointments
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Working with accounting software programs
  • Maintain and update client database
  • Scan, photocopy and print documents
  • Incoming / outgoing Mail
  • Receipt cash / cheque / eftpos / credit card payments made via phone, mail or in person
  • Manage office stationery and kitchen supplies
  • Client care – liaise with clients, make appointments, follow up calls and detail with general enquires
  • Filing
  • General cleaning duties
  • All other office duties as required
What you’ll need to succeed
  • A strong genuine interest in Accounting
  • Studied Accounting or Business studies at school or undertaken work experience in this industry 
  • Ability to problem solve 
  • Strong typing and data entry skills 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs 
  • Professional and courteous manner
  • The ability to learn-accounting software programs
  • A strong work-ethic, be reliable and punctual
  • QLD Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or similarly regarded   
  • Provide your most recent school report card           
  • Two (2) work or school related references
